In A Universal Time (AUT), two of the most wanted abilities are Mercenaries and Dio Brando’s Vampire ability. However, they’re not easy to obtain. This guide will break down all the steps to help you unlock both abilities.
How to Get the Mercenaries Ability in AUT
To get the Mercenaries ability, you need to complete a quest from the NPC Skaidev, which was introduced in the Valentine 2025 update. The quest requires you to find Skaidev, defeat a boss, and collect specific items.
Step 1: Find Skaidev and Start the Quest
Skaidev is located in Alabasta. To get there:
- Head towards the big waterfall near the central hub.
- Go past the mountain above the waterfall and keep going straight.
- Eventually, you’ll reach Alabasta, where you’ll find Skaidev. Talk to him to start the quest.
Step 2: Defeat the Spy Boss
Your first task is to defeat the Spy boss, who is on Floating Island. To find him:
- Go to the soccer field in the game.
- Turn left and head toward the small waterfall (to the right of the big one).
- Follow the path, and you’ll reach Floating Island, where the Spy boss is located.
The Spy boss respawns every 20 minutes, so if someone defeats him before you, just wait for him to reappear. To complete this part of the quest, you must either defeat him yourself or deal at least 10% of his total damage (if you’re fighting alongside other players).
Step 3: Collect the Required Items
The final step is to gather seven different items:
- Flamethrower
- Medic’s Equipment
- Grenade Launcher
- Eyelander
- Chargin’ Targe
- Rocket Launcher
- Knife
You can get these items by:
- Defeating the Spy boss (20% chance to drop each item).
- Defeating normal enemies and looting chests.
- Trading with other players if you’re having trouble finding them.
Once you have all seven items, put them in your inventory, talk to Skaidev, and complete the quest to unlock the Mercenaries ability!
How to Get Dio Brando’s Vampire Ability in AUT
To get Dio Brando’s Vampire ability, you first need to obtain the Vampire ability and then find an item called Vampirism Mastery.
Step 1: Get the Vampire Ability
To unlock the basic Vampire ability, you must find the Stone Mask by:
- Defeating thugs.
- Looting chests.
Finding the mask is based on luck, so it may take some time. Once you have it, equip the Stone Mask while you are standless to get the Vampire ability.
Step 2: Get the Vampirism Mastery Item
To get Vampirism Mastery, you need to defeat the Dio Brando boss. Here’s how:
- Collect 6 Dio’s Charms by looting chests that drop from thugs.
- Use them to craft Dio’s Remains.
- Take Dio’s Remains to a boss altar to summon Dio Brando.
Once Dio Brando appears, defeat him for a 20% chance to get the Vampirism Mastery item. If you don’t get it, repeat the process until you do. Since there’s a 1 in 5 chance, you may need to fight Dio multiple times.
Step 3: Unlock Dio Brando’s Vampire Ability
Once you have Vampirism Mastery, use it while you’re in the Vampire stand, and you’ll unlock Dio Brando’s Vampire ability!
